SepticSorted is an independent information service for UK homeowners who are buying, selling or living with a septic tank or other off-mains drainage system. We exist because the rules are confusing, the jargon is off-putting, and good, neutral information is hard to find.

What we do

We explain — in plain English — what the rules actually mean, what your options are, and roughly what things cost. When you want work done, we connect you with vetted drainage specialists who cover your area.

What we are not

We are not a drainage company. We do not empty tanks, carry out surveys, install systems or give legal advice, and nothing on this site is professional advice for your specific situation. Always confirm your own circumstances with a qualified specialist or your conveyancer.

How we're paid

SepticSorted is an independent information service, not a drainage company. When we connect you with a vetted drainage specialist we may earn a referral fee. This never adds to the price you pay and we are paid the same regardless of which firm you choose.
